Most Rev. Prof. Godwin Okpala, the senior Anglican cleric who was kidnapped a month ago, has been released along with his driver after spending 30 days in captivity.
According to Daily Post, Okpala, the retired Archbishop of the Niger Province and former Bishop of Nnewi, was abducted while en route to Umuchu, Anambra State, for a burial ceremony.
The circumstances of his release remain unclear at this time, but news of his freedom is quickly spreading on social media.
