BREAKING: Again, Popular Dosunmu Market Gutted by Fire

By Miracle Ogunde

For the second time in one month, the popular Dosunmu market in Lagos Island has been gutted by fire.

Ibrahim Farinloye, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Zonal Coordinator, South-West, confirmed the incident on Tuesday afternoon in an update sent to newsmen.

In a series of photographs and videos seen online by Starnews NG, the fire was seen burning heavily on some high-rise buildings in the market.

Farinloye added that operatives of the Fire Service and other relevant institutions had been mobilised to extinguish the inferno.

The extent of the damage is not yet ascertained at the time of filing this report.

This incident is coming barely three weeks after four buildings were destroyed by an inferno at the same market.
