Boko Haram kills Army officer, as six terrorists neutralized

 

The Defense Headquarters has reported that Troops of Operation Hadin Kai, on Friday, neutralized six terrorists following an ambush along the Buratai-Buni Gari road in Borno.

DHQ spokesperson Edward Buba made this announcement in a statement released on Sunday in Abuja.

Mr. Buba stated that while an army Lieutenant lost his life in the ambush, four other personnel who sustained injuries during the operation were currently receiving medical treatment.

He further mentioned that the troops’ reinforcements pursued the terrorists to their hideout within the Timbuktu Triangle, resulting in the elimination of six insurgents.

Additionally, the troops recovered five AK-47 rifles and 103 rounds of the 7.62mm special ammunition.

“The remaining terrorist ran in disarray, and the troops are in hunt of the remnant terrorist that fled the firefight,” he said.
