Bill to establish Nigeria Cocoa Development Council in Ore passes first reading

A bill for the establishment of Nigeria Cocoa Development Council in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State has been read for the first time on the floor of the Senate on Wednesday.

Nicholas Tofowomo, the Senator representing Ondo South at the National Assembly under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said he proposed the bill to create employment and other economic benefits.

“I proposed the bill to create employment for Nigerians and other economic benefits”, Senator Tofowomo said on Tuesday.

“Nigeria Cocoa Development Council (Establishment) Bill, 2021 (SB. 649) is read the First Time, Dr Ahmad Lawan”, the President of Senate rules on Tuesday.
