Frontline governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, Hon. Banji Okunomo, has commended prince John Ola Mafo for withdrawing from the governorship race of Ondo State under the platform of the PDP.
Starnews NG reports that Mafo withdrew from the governorship race of Ondo State in an official statement he personally signed and made public on Saturday.
In a statement on Sunday, Okunomo said he considers it dutiful and necessary to make a public commendation and outpouring of encomiums on the person of Mafor for his unparalleled and deep sense of patriotism, loyalty and sportsmanship.
”After reading the withdrawal of my leader, prince John Ola Mafo from the governorship race of Ondo State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), I consider it dutiful and necessary to make a public commendation and outpouring of encomiums on his person for his unparalleled and deep sense of patriotism, loyalty and sportsmanship.”
”The truth is, Uncle John Ola Mafo who is one of the foremost leaders of my local government has always specifically earned my respect for his Godly spirit of submitting every one of his actions to the will of God in whatever he chooses to do in life; he is unlike some politicians who resort to ROCKING the boat when their desires cannot be met.”
”His withdrawal from the race is noble and should be appreciated by the leadership of our party, ” Okunomo said in the statement.
