After suffering a shocking defeat in the opening game, Nigeria’s Super Falcons have resolved to get much-needed victory in the two remaining group matches.

The defending champion lost their first game to the Banyana Banyana of South Africa 2-1 at the Hassan Moulay stadium.

As they get set to face Botswana in their second group match, the team skipper Onome Ebi stated that they have put the loss behind them and focused next set of matches.

“We feel bad to have lost the opening match, and against South Africa for that matter, but we have been able to put that behind us. We resolved immediately after the match that we will give what it takes to win all remaining games.

“There is no need for too many words. All we want to do is get the win against Botswana to restore our confidence, and then we can take things from there,” she said.
