The Arewa Youth for Peaceful Coexistence has expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering commitment to ensuring free and fair elections, following the successful governorship election in Edo State held on Saturday.
The organization also praised the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for facilitating a transparent, credible, and peaceful electoral process, highlighting the advancement of Nigeria’s democratic framework.
In a press statement signed by Ogah Mark, FCT Chairman, and Haruna Bature, National Coordinator of the Arewa Youth for Peaceful Coexistence, the group congratulated President Tinubu for his leadership and efforts to keep Nigeria’s electoral processes free from external interference.
The group emphasized that his commitment to democratic principles is vital for maintaining the integrity of the nation’s electoral system.
Recalling the victory of Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the Governor-elect of Edo State, the group remarked that the election’s peaceful and orderly conduct allowed voters to freely express their choices, indicating significant improvements in Nigeria’s electoral framework.
“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his role in ensuring the integrity of the election process.”
