The Ondo state caucus of the All Progressives Congress(APC) United kingdom (UK) has appreciated Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for his administration’s resolve to pay the N360m West African Examinations Council (WAEC) fees for Students in public secondary schools across the state.
The party noted that the development would serve as dividends of democracy to many homes and complement the efforts of prospective parents and guardians to give sound education to their children and wards.
The chairman, APC UK,Ondo state Caucus, Chief Julius Adeyeye gave the commendation while speaking with reporters in Akure, the state capital.
Adeyeye said since knowledge is power,Akeredolu’s administration had taken a bold step forward in touching the lives of virtually every home with the payment of WAEC fees for Students in all public secondary schools.
He reiterated the call by his members to partner with Akeredolu’s government through active participation if given opportunity,saying” we want to actively participate in the affairs of the state, if invited.
The APC chairman said the party would support every moves by the state government to develop Ondo state.
He said” We are with our APC parent body in Ondo state, we had a meeting with the representative of the state government through one of the Senior Special Assistants(SSA) to the Governor at Zonal level in the UK, and we are expecting a favourable response soonest.
Starnews Nigeria reports that Adeyeye said the meeting was centred on developments for Sunshine state that they are all proud of.
He urged the citizenry to support the present administration in the state in a bid to attract developmental projects to the state.
