A Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, Hon. Daisi Akinrodoye, has thrown his weight behind the State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Akinrodoye made his decision known in a statement obtained by our correspondent on Friday.

The statement quoted the party Chieftain to have declared support for Aiyedatiwa while hosting the ward chairmen of Irele Local Government on Friday.

He said, “the meeting served as a platform for Akinrodoye to solicit their endorsement and backing for Aiyedatiwa’s reelection bid in the forthcoming Ondo State election.

“This gathering underscores the importance of local government leaders in influencing grassroots support and mobilizing voters.

“By engaging with the chairmen of Irele Local Government, I aim to secure a strong base of support for Aiyedatiwa within the region, leveraging their networks and influence to rally voters behind the governor.

“Akinrodoye’s initiative highlights of the significance of political alliances and coalition-building in electoral politics. By uniting with local government ward chairmen, he seeks to strengthen Aiyedatiwa’s position and increase his chances of success in the upcoming election.

“As the election draws nearer, Akinrodoye’s efforts to garner support for Aiyedatiwa reflect the strategic maneuvering and collaborative approach required to secure victory in Ondo State politics. The outcome of this meeting could have significant implications for the electoral landscape and the prospects of the governor’s bid.
