Anti Grazing Bills: States Are Not Under Your Control, Fayose Replies FG

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has replied the federal government over comment made through the minister of Defence, Dan Ali, that anti grazing Laws should be suspended by state governments as part of the means to end the killings and bloodshed in trouble states disturbed by Herdsmen.

Fayose said that state governments in Nigeria are not an attachment of federal government.

The governor described the statement credited to the defence Minister as an affront on the practice of Federalism  in Nigeria.

The governor tweeted :

“Call by the FG through the Minister of Defense, Dan-Ali that States should suspend implementation of the anti-grazing law is an affront on Federalism that is practiced in Nigeria. It is amazing that at the level of the presidency, they still see states as appendages of the FG”
