Anambra Banker Killed Despite Ransom Payment

Tragedy struck in Anambra State as the lifeless body of a banker, identified as Ifeoma, was discovered near Ideani junction along the Nnobi/Alor road after her kidnappers had collected ransom money from her family.

The victim was reportedly abducted in Onitsha, a development that has sparked outrage and concern among residents.

Human rights advocate, Harrison Gwamnishi, revealed the news on social media, sharing a photograph of the deceased and decrying the rising wave of violence in the state.

Vanguard quoted him as warning that more lives could be lost if urgent measures were not taken to address the situation.

The Anambra State Police Command confirmed the incident, noting that the body had been recovered and investigations launched to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death.
