Amole Festival Halts Akure’s Economic Activities

The Amole Festival in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, brought the town’s economic activities to a standstill on Wednesday.

A visit by Starnews NG revealed that supermarkets and markets were closed.

The usually bustling Oba Adesida Road was eerily quiet, as the market closures led to an unusually smooth flow of traffic.

The Deji of Akure Kingdom had announced on Tuesday that markets would be closed in observance of the annual festival.
