Akure Bye-Election: PDP Appoints Mimiko, Tofowomo, Akinyelure, others as members of National Campaign Council

* As Obaseki, Makinde lead campaign 

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed members of the National Campaign Council/Election Management Team for the Akure North/Akure South Federal Constituency Bye-election scheduled for Saturday, February 26, 2022, in Ondo State.

Starnews Nigeria reports that former governor Segun Mimiko and the two PDP Senators from Ondo State, Nicholas Tofowomo (Ondo South), Ayo Akinyelure (Ondo Central) were among the top political gladiators appointed as members of the campaign council from Ondo State.

In a statement by Hon. Debo Ologunagba, National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, the party said on Tuesday that H.E Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State will be the Chairman of the Campaign Council, Engr Seyi Makinde of Oyo State as Co-Chairman while Hon. Adesoji Adagunodo will be the Secretary.

The statement reads:

The National Working Committee (NWC) of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the nomination of the following party members as members of the National Campaign Council/Election Management Team for the Akure North/Akure South Federal Constituency Bye-election scheduled for Saturday, February 26, 2022, in Ondo State
