Akpabio Speaks as Peter Obi Shows Up at Senator Barau Son’s Wedding

 

Senate president Godswill Akpabio has reacted to the presence of Peter Obi at the wedding of Amir, the son of his deputy, Jibrin Barau.

Akpabio said the presence of the Labour Party’s presidential candidate at the wedding ceremony held in Kano state on Friday, August 18, was a sign of a united Nigeria.

The Senate president noted that the presence of many high-profile personalities at the wedding ceremony attests to the fact that Senator Barau is a peaceful man.

“You can see that even Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and his people are here; this tells you that Nigeria will remain united as one entity,” Akpabio said.

The ceremony which took place in Kano was attended by many VIPs in the country, including Vice President Kashim Shettima and a lot of politicians.
