Akoko bye-election: Ife Ehindero wins APC Primary election

Ifeoluwa Ehindero has emerged victorious in the fiercely contested All Progressives Congress (APC) Primary Election, positioning himself as the candidate for the forthcoming bye-election in the Akoko North East and North West Federal Constituency.

The electoral spectacle unfolded on Saturday at the prestigious Victory College Ikare (VCI) in the heart of the Akoko North East Local Government Area in Ondo State.

In a display of democratic engagement, Ifeoluwa garnered a notable 105 votes, solidifying his standing as the preferred candidate among the electorate.

A contender, Makinde David, secured a solitary vote, while the remaining eight aspirants scored zero votes.

This electoral endeavor was conducted under stringent security measures, underscoring the commitment to a fair and transparent democratic process.

Ahead of the commencement of voting, Abdulkadir Nasir, the Chairman of the Election Committee, meticulously laid out the guidelines for the aspirants. Despite protests from some contestants, Nasir held firm, emphasizing his commitment to strictly following the party’s stipulated procedures and ensuring an impartial outcome.
