Aiyedatiwa Unveils Vision for Ondo’s Future, Pledges Development, Inclusivity

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has outlined his vision for the state, pledging a commitment to infrastructural development, security, and economic growth.

Aiyedatiwa made the pledge during his official inauguration as the seventh democratically elected governor of Ondo State, held at the Ondo State Sports Complex, Akure, on Monday.

The governor emphasised the need for unity and collective effort to drive progress, assuring residents of his determination to build on the legacies of his predecessor, the late Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

Addressing a gathering of dignitaries, government officials, and supporters in Akure, Aiyedatiwa reaffirmed his resolve to prioritise road construction, healthcare, education, and youth empowerment.

He emphasised the importance of collaboration with the private sector and federal government to ensure sustainable development across all sectors.

The governor pledged to enhance security in the state, recognising the challenges posed by criminal activities, including kidnapping and banditry.

He assured residents that his administration would work closely with security agencies to safeguard lives and property.

In the area of economic growth, Aiyedatiwa stressed the need for industrialisation and job creation, promising to attract investors and create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.

He highlighted agriculture as a key sector for economic diversification and pledged support for farmers and agro-allied industries.

The governor also reiterated his commitment to workers’ welfare, assuring civil servants of prompt payment of salaries and improved working conditions.

He acknowledged the sacrifices of public servants and promised policies aimed at enhancing productivity and motivation.

Reflecting on his predecessor’s contributions, Aiyedatiwa vowed to consolidate on Akeredolu’s achievements while implementing new policies to address the evolving needs of the people.

He called for unity among political stakeholders, urging them to prioritise the interests of the state above personal ambitions.

Aiyedatiwa concluded his speech with a call for collective responsibility, encouraging residents to support his administration in its quest to transform Ondo State into an economic hub and a model of good governance.

“We must all come together to build the Ondo State of our dreams. The journey ahead requires the commitment of every citizen, and I am confident that, with our shared resolve, we will achieve greatness,” he said.
