Aiyedatiwa receives heads of local govt administration, harps on efficiency

The governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on Wednesday, received heads of local government administration across the 18 council areas of the state.

The group, under the aegis of Conference of Heads of Local Government Administration, was in Akure to interact with the governor on critical issues, as it relates to development at the grassroots.

Speaking on behalf of the team, the Chairman, Mrs Marian Awotoye, eulogized Governor Aiyedatiwa for his people-oriented programmes and projects since assuming office.

The meeting, which lasted about an hour behind closed doors, led into an interactive session, where the governor tasked the administrators to come up with a position paper, introducing new approaches to the local government administration.

Represented by his deputy, Dr Olayide Adelami, the governor, who spoke with newsmen after the meeting, thanked the group for the visit, which he described as “timely and purposeful”

He charged them to deploy their administrative skills in the day-to-day running of the local government for optimal results, saying his government will continue to prioritize the welfare of workers.

The meeting had in attendance; Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Tayo Oluwatuyi and Chief of Staff to the Governor, Prince Segun Omojuwa.
