Aiyedatiwa Pledges More Progress As Ondo Celebrates 49th Anniversary

Ondo State marked its 49th anniversary on Monday, with Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa expressing confidence in the state’s growth and future development.

The governor acknowledged the efforts of the state’s founding fathers, recognizing their role in shaping Ondo since its creation on February 3, 1976.

Ondo was one of the seven states formed under General Murtala Muhammed’s military government, increasing Nigeria’s states from 12 to 19.

Since then, the state has had 19 governors—12 military and seven civilian, including Aiyedatiwa.

In his anniversary message delivered through his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, Aiyedatiwa appreciated the sacrifices of past leaders.

He assured residents of his administration’s commitment to continue building on these foundations to ensure more development across the state.

The governor congratulated the people of Ondo and encouraged them to keep supporting his government as it works towards a better future for all.
