Victor Osimhen has drawn level with the legendary Segun Odegbami, in the list of Nigeria’s all-time top scorers.
This follows his goal in the Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw with Benin Republic in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Thursday night.
Osimhen came into the match in third place with 22 goals.
But the 26-year-old, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, headed in the equalizer in the 81st minute in Abidjan.
Osimhen now has 23 goals, the same number as Odegbami and is only behind Rashidi Yekini (37).
