PDP Criticizes APC Leadership, Labels Them “Political Vampires”

In a press statement on Monday, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has launched a scathing attack on the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the ruling party as a group of “political vampires” that are draining resources and inflicting hardship on the Nigerian populace.

The PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, emphasized that the APC’s reign is nearing its end, projecting a political shift by February 2027.

The PDP condemned the APC for its alleged mismanagement of the country, claiming that the current administration has fostered an environment of suffering characterized by economic decline, rampant insecurity, and a staggering unemployment rate exceeding 36%.

The statement highlighted the soaring prices of basic commodities, noting that essential items such as rice and petrol have skyrocketed, leaving millions of Nigerians struggling to meet their daily needs.

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State was defended by the PDP against recent attacks from the APC, with the party asserting that his advocacy for the Nigerian masses reflects genuine leadership.

The PDP accused the APC of arrogance and insensitivity in their response, labeling the attacks as reckless amidst an ongoing national crisis.

The statement further asserted that the APC’s claims of Nigeria being “on the cusp of prosperity” starkly contrast with the lived experiences of citizens facing economic despair. The PDP criticized the APC for what they termed an “alternate reality,” insisting that the party has reversed the progress made during the PDP’s governance and transformed Nigeria into the “poverty capital of the world.”

As the political landscape evolves toward the 2027 elections, the PDP called on the APC to acknowledge their failures and cease their alleged manipulation of facts. The party expressed confidence that the achievements of PDP governors, particularly in infrastructure and citizen empowerment, will resonate with Nigerians and secure a return to power.

The PDP concluded its statement with a bold prediction, asserting that the APC’s time in governance is limited and that the party will face significant political consequences in the upcoming election cycle.
