PDP Chieftain Laments Akure’s Untidiness, Calls for Urgent Action

A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Eddy Olafeso, has criticised the level of filth in Akure, saying the current administration, led by Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has done little to maintain cleanliness in the state.

Speaking with Starnews NG on Friday, Olafeso described the state of Akure, particularly the major roads, as appalling, stressing that these roads are increasingly cluttered and overtaken by traders, which does not reflect well on the Sunshine State.

In his words, “Ondo State is too dirty, especially the major roads, which are not tidy at all. Traders have almost occupied the roads, displaying their goods by the roadside. The government isn’t doing anything about this, and it’s very disturbing.”

“The present administration ought to have taken a bold step in clearing the major roads and ensuring they aren’t littered by traders,” said the PDP chieftain.

Commenting on the upcoming November 16 gubernatorial election in Ondo State, the PDP leader expressed his firm support for Agboola Ajayi, stating that Ajayi would make a better governor for the people.

He urged residents to vote wisely and avoid selling their votes for money or material items.
