A former Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government Council and a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Hon. Solomon Bitire, has congratulated Barrister Banji Okunomo on his appointment as the APC spokesperson for the upcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
Bitire also praised the state governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for appointing Okunomo as his campaign spokesperson.
This was contained in a press release made available to *Starnews NG* on Sunday by the APC chieftain.
The former council chairman said that the appointment of Okunomo reflected his commitment to excellence, integrity, and the progress of the state.
In his words, “This appointment is not only a testament to the Governor’s wisdom and foresight but also reflects his commitment to excellence, integrity, and progress in our great state.”
Commending Okunomo’s qualities, the APC chieftain described him as “a man of exemplary character, whose loyalty and unwavering dedication to the values of good governance are well known.”
According to him, Okunomo’s wealth of experience in public service and his outstanding communication skills make him a perfect fit for this crucial role.
“Okunomo has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the needs of the people, and his commitment to transparency and honesty sets him apart as a leader who truly serves the public interest.”
While commending Governor Aiyedatiwa for his choice, the former Okitipupa council chairman noted that the governor’s decision was merit-based.
“The Governor, a leader with vision, has once again shown that he values merit and is determined to surround himself with capable individuals who will move the party and the state forward. His choice of Barr. Okunomo highlights his commitment to ensuring that our campaigns will be driven by truth, clear vision, and values that resonate with our people, unlike others who have proven to be insincere in their dealings.
