Aiyedatiwa’s Identity Splits Netizens Over Strange Video Posted by Blogger

A UK-based blogger, Maureen Badejo, has stirred controversy on META (Facebook) by posting a strange video on her page to confirm whether the man alleged to have assaulted a woman in the clip is Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

“Is this Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Governor of Ondo State?” Badejo sought reactions from Netizens, using the above question as the title of the strange video while lamenting in Yoruba to ascertain if the man in the video is truly Governor Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State.

However, in their reactions, Starnews NG reports that Netizens were divided in confirming Governor Aiyedatiwa’s identity.

While a smaller group of people claimed the man is Governor Aiyedatiwa, many respondents dismissed the video, asserting that the man in the clip is not the Governor of Ondo State.

In the video, a man and a woman were seen and heard exchanging a barrage of insults and abuse while the woman attempted to grab the man by his clothing, prompting men at the scene to separate the duo.

Meanwhile, Starnews NG’s independent investigation and examination of the video show that the man in the video clip is NOT Governor Aiyedatiwa. Though the voice and facial features appear familiar, they are entirely different from those of the Ondo State Governor, Starnews NG reports.

Oladunjoye Olabisi wrote: “The man here is not fighting this woman. It looks like a setup. The man is not fighting back; it’s the woman who is grabbing the man’s clothing.”

Alexander Komolafe added: “So because he is a governor, he should be treated this way by these women, right? I don’t even know him, but I remember posting this on my page yesterday, condemning what those ladies did to him. What is wrong is wrong; we should not be biased in our judgement. I now understand the actions of those women better. They did all that to bring down the man, knowing that if the video is out there, it will ruin his political career. Why do many of our women always go for what will destroy the man? Hmmmmmm. It is well, o.”

Toyin Akpata asked: “Lies. I think Maureen should know better. How do you feel every time you realise you are not telling the truth?”

Ade Baba said: “Many Ondo men of his age in the UK look like him. I believe it isn’t the governor.”

Dayo Adetona posted: “It’s always good to have a wife that trusts her husband! Just hear the woman say, ’emi ni iyawo e,’ amidst all the storms and the man’s composure. What a woman! Marry the right wife and know peace.”

Williams Ademola pleaded: “Maureen, no, no, no! Please 🙏 don’t believe this. Please do your research properly. You know I’m one of your followers, and I believe in you and your platform.”

Titilope Grace snapped: “Please, this is not my governor. Please remove that subtitle. I’m so embarrassed. Do your research next time before posting such things. I mean no harm.”

Olakunle Idowu-Faith said: “Is this a setup? The lady attacking him is all part of a bid to frame the guy, whoever he is. Who’s the aggressor here?”

Adedayo Adebayo added: “It’s him; his wife and Ondo women complained about his behaviour then. I’m an APC apologist, so I’m supporting him. Has anyone seen his wife since his first swearing-in as deputy to Akeredolu?”

Adekunle Godwin wrote: “Cheap blackmail! Do you not have work? Does this person look like Lucky? Let me sleep, nonsense people.”

Suraj Majek added: “It’s because he doesn’t expect the position, so he can do what he likes, but he forgot about social media.”

Lolade Mariam declared: “It’s him, Aiyedatiwa, the foolish man.”

Phi Snd wrote: “Thank you, ma, for bringing it up.”

Olanrewaju Oduniyi laughed: “😆😁😆. The fighting governor of the year 2024.”
