Amotekun Corps Arrests 27 Suspected Criminals in Ondo

The Ondo State Security Network, also known as Amotekun Corps, has arrested 27 suspected criminals, including three young farmers accused of kidnapping a traveller.

The suspects, identified as Obanobi Temitayo (19), Ogundele Ojo (20), and one other, were apprehended in a forest near the Ikakumo Akoko area, located at the Kogi/Edo state border.

Speaking on the arrests, Amotekun Commander Akogun Adetunji Adeleye revealed that the suspects, who claimed to be farmers, were found to be involved in the kidnapping.

In addition, a notorious motorcycle thief, Michael Ojo, was arrested in the Owo/Akoko region for stealing motorcycles and selling them at extremely low prices, between ₦30,000 and ₦50,000.

The security outfit also paraded armed robbers who specialized in looting mattress shops in the state.

Commander Adeleye emphasized the Corps’ commitment to maintaining peace and order across Ondo State.
