There is anxiety in Ijesaland over the health of the monarch, Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran.

It was gathered that the monarch had been sick for some time, but the situation degenerated during the week before he was hospitalized.

A palace source disclosed that no one knows the whereabouts of the monarch after his health depreciated this week, but did not confirm whether the monarch recovered from sickness or not.

While some unofficial sources disclosed that the monarch has joined his ancestors, the palace is yet to confirm the incident.

Oba Adekunle ascended the throne on February 20, 1982, from the Aromolaran family, and his reign spanned 42 years.
