Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, popularly known as OBA, has penned an emotional tribute to the deceased Anambra South Senator, Ifeanyi Ubah.

Oba who is the President, WeAfrica Limited and the candidate of the Social Democratic Party,
(SDP) Candidate in the upcoming Ondo 2024 gubernatorial election, described the late Senator’s death as saddening and shocking, leaving an imense void in the lives of many Nigerians.

Akingboye’s tribute was contained in a press release made available to Starnews Nigeria on Sunday.

“It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that I received the news of the untimely passing of my dear friend and brother, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah,” Akingboye said.

“Senator Ubah’s departure leaves an immense void in our hearts and in the fabric of Nigerian business and politics. His journey from a dedicated entrepreneur to a distinguished Senator representing Anambra South was nothing short of inspirational. Ifeanyi’s remarkable success in the oil industry and his foray into politics exemplified his versatility and commitment to serving Nigeria in multiple capacities.

“On a personal note, Senator Ifeanyi was more than a colleague; he was a trusted friend and a brother. His loss feels deeply personal, as our bond transcended the realms of business and politics. His infectious enthusiasm, visionary thinking, and unwavering determination were not just admirable traits, but also a source of motivation for many, including myself.

“The business world has lost a titan, the political arena a passionate voice, and I have lost a cherished friend. Ifeanyi’s legacy as a trailblazer in entrepreneurship and his dedication to public service will continue to inspire generations to come.

“As we grapple with this profound loss, my thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and the people of Anambra State. May they find strength and solace in this difficult time, and may Ifeanyi’s soul rest in eternal peace.

“Nigeria has lost a true patriot, and he will be sorely missed, he added.

Senator Ubah was reported to have died on Saturday in the United Kingdom.

His death has been described as a huge loss to the business world and Nigeria in general, with many personalities eulogizing the late business mogul and politician.
