Newlywed wife attacks husband, chops off manhood

Habiba Ibrahim, a newlywed, has been arrested by the police for allegedly slashing the manhood of her 40-year-old husband, Salisu Idris, while he was asleep.

Idris, a commercial motorbike rider from Kudan in Kaduna State, recounted that the incident occurred on May 26 after he returned from early morning prayers. He was resting on his bed when his wife attacked him with a sharp knife, nearly severing his manhood. Neighbors, alerted by his screams, rushed to his aid and rescued him.

Idris, who has been married to Ibrahim for about four months, expressed his bewilderment at the attack, stating that they had a loving relationship with no prior misunderstandings.

Following the incident, Idris was initially taken to a hospital in Kudan, then transferred to General Hospital Makarfi, and finally to Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital in Zaria, where doctors worked to save his life.

“At the moment, I am more concerned about my condition. I am afraid of remarrying because of this incident,” he said.

The Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansur Hassan, could not be reached for comment on the event as well
