Reports indicate that the pedestrian, a woman who has yet to be identified, was walking by the roadside when the vehicle lost control and crashed into her.

An eyewitness, identified as Chanka, told The Punch that the victim was a regular beggar in the area. She died from the impact of the collision.

“It was after some moment that we realised that the vehicle had collided with a woman and her children, killing the woman on the spot and injuring the children.

“The woman is a regular beggar in this area. Her children have been taken to hospital.”

Another eye witness, Sandra Udoisang, noted that the scene of the crash and the impact of the crash were gory people were scared to move to the scene.
