The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has suspended
the ward chairman of Igbatako, in Okitipupa LGA.
This decision follows a series of internal crisis within the party.
The suspension of the ward chairman comes shortly after the controversial suspension of Senator Jimoh Ibrahim over alleged anti-party activities. The Senator’s suspension was disowned in a dramatic -u-turn by the APC ward executives .
According to a letter obtained by Starnews NG on Friday, the APC ward chairman in Igbotako was allegedly suspended due to his failure to convene a meeting of ward executives within the stipulated 48-hour period, among other reasons described as “unprogressive attitudes.”
The letter of decision to suspend him was signed by 16 executive members and leaders of the ward, citing adherence to the party’s constitution.
