How I Was Offered Money To Impeach Fubara – Chief Of Staff

By Our Correspondent

Edison Ehie, the Chief of Staff to Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara, has come forward, claiming he was offered money to orchestrate the impeachment of Governor Fubara.

Speaking in Ahoada East area, Ehie disclosed his refusal to accept the bribe, choosing loyalty over financial gain.

However, he did not unveil the identities of those behind the bribery attempt.

According to Ehie: “They invited me, your son, to impeach the governor and I told them clearly, I was not interested.

“They gave me all the money that was hidden before, which I rejected. And because I refused, they conspired and declared me wanted.”

This revelation follows previous controversies, including Ehie’s declaration as wanted in 2023 in connection with the invasion of the State House of Assembly.

Last October, amidst reports of lawmakers seeking to impeach Governor Fubara, an explosion rocked the assembly building, leading to further scrutiny of Ehie’s actions.
