Meta-owned WhatsApp and Instagram were down for several users across the globe beginning around 6.15 pm GMT on Wednesday.
Several users reportedly had trouble accessing the Apps.
Regarding Instagram, several users were unable to refresh their feeds or see the latest stories.
Downdetector, a popular website that tracks web outages, showed a spike in users reporting that they experienced issues while attempting to use WhatsApp and Instagram.
In March, there were also complaints by users that they were logged out of their Instagram, Facebook and Threads accounts.
