Senator Tofowomo Challenge Football Cup 2019 Kicks Off In Ondo Community

Distinguished Senator representing the good people of Ondo South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Otunba Nicholas Tofowomo, has shown his ever patriotic and pragmatic love for togetherness as propelled by sports, when a tournament tagged “Tofowomo Challenge Football Cup 2019,” organised by Engr. Rapheal Ademulegun, kicked off on Tuesday, in Odigbo Local Government of Ondo State, Starnews reports.

Speaking before the kick-off of the match, at Lasia Football pitch in Ajue community of Odigbo Local Local Government, Senator Tofowomo, represented by Ademulegun, a former council boss and a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), said the gesture is to promote togetherness, unity and sportsmanship among the good people of Ondo South.

“This event is for the betterment of the participants and the local government at large. I encourage all the footballers to see this as a medium to propel their football careers to greater heights,” Tofowomo said.

Starnews reports that Ademulegun, who also sponsored the programme in the name of the senator, declared the match opened between Ajue Rising Star Football Team and Future Star Football Team at exactly 4Pm on behalf the Senator.

The match will continue tomorrow with F.M Stars Asewele Football Club and Super Ultimate Football Club Lasia.

Final match would be played by two best teams among the six participating football clubs, Starnews has learnt.
