2 arraigned for allegedly stealing phone

 

Two men: Abiodun Abdulahi, 23 and Kazeem Sodiq, 31, were on Tuesday brought before a Grade ‘A’ Customary Court, Ibadan, for allegedly stealing phone worth N150, 000.

The men, whose addresses were not provided were charged with conspiracy and theft.

The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Prosecutor, Mr Philip Amusan, told the court that the defendants allegedly committed the offence on March 12 at Oke-Ado area, Ibadan.

Amusan alleged that Abdulahi stole the Infinix phone belonging to one Oluwasola Adebowale.

He alleged that Sodiq on the same date and at the aforementioned area received the stolen phone from Abdulahi, knowing it was stolen.

He said the offences contravened provisions of Sections 390(9) and 427 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The court’s president, Mrs Moji Aworemi, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N250, 000 and one surety each in like sum.

She adjourned the case until April 23 for hearing. (NAN)
