Ondo Guber: Ex-LG boss, Ayejusunle harmonises political structures

As the atmosphere for 2024 Ondo Gubernatorial election is gathering momentum, a prominent APC chieftain and pioneer Chairman, Ikale North LCDA, Hon. Oluwafemi Ayejusunle has harmonised his various political structures.

The harmonization came at the weekend during a meeting held in Ode – Aye, Okitipupa local government area of Ondo State.

Speakers at the event eulogized his exemplary leadership style and selflessness as they agreed that the common interest of Ode-Aye can only be promoted and protected through the leadership of Hon. Ayejusunle.

An APC stalwart, Prince Bola Akinlalu highlighted a commendable aspect of Ayejusunle’s leadership, praising him for seamless empowerment of the masses with his personal resources, thereby demonstrating admirable committment and progress.

“We wholeheartedly support and endorse whatever leadership direction provided by Femi Ayejusunle and we have confident in his ability to continue leading us towards greater prosperity and growth,” Bola Akinlalu said.

Hon. Osedele Gbenga, former Secretary and Vice chairman of APC in Okitipupa LG expressed confidence in the leadership of Aiyejusunle, urging the people to give him unflinching support.

He said, ” Everything expressed here today will also be resonated across the local government because Hon. Ayejusunle is the epitome of our political heritage and the voice of the voiceless. His selflessness is second to none. One key factor motivating our support for him is his attentiveness, honesty and uprightness.

Other leaders who spoke at the meeting including the representative of the women, and a former Women Leader in Ode Aye Ward 1, hailed Ayejusunle for his dedication towards the progress of APC and the well being of its members through empowerment and job creation.

“Under Ayejusunle’s leadership, we have seen inclusive governance approach that ensures the voices of the women are heard as we are being accorded our rightful position”.

“We, the women are confident that Hon. Ayejusunle’s visionary leadership will continue to propel APC and Ode-Aye forward, we will support his leadership and abide by his decision as the governorship election approaches”, the ex-women leader noted.

Responding, Hon. Oluwafemi Ayejusunle expressed gratitude to the party leaders, members and supporters as he commended them for the meeting amid various distractions.

He said, “We are deeply grateful for the unwavering support of Ode-Aye APC and our various support groups. It is an honour to receive such affirmation and unflinching support from our party leaders, members and supporters.

“We all know that Ondo gubernatorial election is fast approaching. As a party, we have various interest but it is important to unite these various interests to ensure our party is victorious during the election. However, we are committed to upholding sustained progress of our beloved party.

“I need to state categorically that I pledge my loyalty to the party and stand by the party’s decision regarding the emergence of candidate for the gubernatorial election.

“We appreciate the confidence reposed in me and I pledged to continue working tirelessly to defend your interest. Together, we will build a better APC, Ode-Aye community, and Ondo State at large.”
