One of the top Governorship Aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA), on Friday, met His Excellency, Senator Aminu Tambuwal, former Governor of Sokoto State and Senator representing Sokoto South Senatorial District in the Senate.
Starnews NG learnt that Akingboye and Tambuwal who were long-term friends had an impactful and insightful engagement ahead of the Primary Election of the PDP slated to hold on April 25, 2024.
A source at the meeting said, “their short but fruitful discussion today centered around strategies to propel the PDP to resounding victory in the forthcoming gubernatorial polls in Ondo State”.
Akingboye who addressed press men after the meeting said “Senator Tambuwal has been a consistent player in national politics and dependable lover of the PDP and its philosophy.
“Senator Tambuwal is one of the many illustrious party leaders who had served in various capacities at both state and national levels and has insights and experiences that could be tapped in the quest to wrest power from the hugely underperforming government of the APC in Ondo State.
“He has been an enduring brand and personality in the governance of this country and the evolution of our party,” he added.
“My consultations with Senator Tambuwal when backed with his commanding presence and unwavering confidence in steering the party to new heights, will only lead to an electrifying political political journey that will reshape the landscape of Ondo State,” Akingboye added.
