VIDEO: OAUSTECH staff protest unpaid N35, 000 wage award at convocation ceremony

Workers of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa, Ondo State, under the Joint Action Committee of all Tertiary Institutions, today protested non payment of N35, 000 wage award by the Ondo State Government.

The organised workers who carried placards of various inscriptions said in the video obtained by Starnews NG that, “all we are saying, pay us wage award”. They were apparently telling the state government under the leadership of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to pay them wage award, adding that they are part of Ondo State workers.

Recall that the staff of the institution had embarked on indefinite strike since last week. The Joint Action Committee (JAC) which comprises SSANU, NASA and NAAT of Ondo State owned Tertiary Institutions decided to express their grievances in a peaceful protest today (Monday) at the University during an ongoing convocation ceremony.

Starnews NG learnt that the state governor has invited the workers to Akure, the state capital, for a meeting tomorrow.
