Not less than two weeks after her husband Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, passed away, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, has dropped a comment to attack a post written by her former Aide, Adegbemile Henry Kayode.
As observed by Starnews NG correspondent, Betty attacked Adegbemile for his post after the latter alleged that the former First Lady had lost power instead of her husband.
Adegbemile on his facebook page wrote, “If Betty has lost anything at this moment, it is POWER and definitely not AKETI. A woman so consumed with avarice, self- aggrandisement and narcissistic tendencies. I say what I know!”
Seemingly enraged by the terse post, Betty who expressed her displeasure, described the poster as a “boy with a terrible poor work ethics.”
She wrote: “????????♀️????????♀️????????♀️. E tu Henry? O ga o! I never knew that somebody that worked under me with the worst work ethics could use so many inappropriate and despicable words to misrepresent me so badly! Aketi may be gone, and here I am, alone to face treacherous betrayals in their numbers but I’m not down and none of you born of a woman can bring me down!????
“SeemeSeewahala o! ????????♀️. This is a boy with a terrible poor work ethics. An irresponsible and truant aide who didn’t take his duties seriously. Gallivanting all over the place in search of how to cut deals and make money as my erstwhile protocol officer, Wole was not cooperating.
“When he realised that I wasn’t interested in his fight against Wole though Wole had his own issues too, he resorted to using my office to dupe people. In one occasion was a phony rice cultivation programme in partnership with Dangote which I didn’t approve that gave him out because the victim called my office to complain.
“I was enraged ???? and summoned him to a meeting with Mrs Titi Adeyemi and Tope Daniyan where he admitted to the fraud and apologised. As expected, he was dropped as SA special duties in the 2nd term. Good riddance to bad rubbish!!!”
However, Betty’s reaction didn’t go unnoticed by the public. Her response to Adegbemile’s post attracted backlash from Facebook users who felt disappointed that she was already on Facebook at a time the state and her husband loyalists were still mourning.
People’s reactions from the comment trail show that readers were divided in their opinions. Some people attacked Adegbemile for dragging the former First Lady who is currently bereaved over the death of her husband while the other group were displeased with Mrs Betty for returning to Facebook few weeks after her husband’s death.
But hours later, after public backlash with screenshot of her comments flying on social media, Starnews NG can report that Betty hurriedly removed her comment from the post, but it was too late because the screenshots were already in circulation on social media.
Starnews NG correspondent who monitored the drama gathered that Mrs Akeredolu was advised by her close associates and friends to delete her comment, describing it as too early and unnecessary.
The source who spoke under the condition of anonymity said, “Mama doesn’t take nonsense. She is not the type anybody can bully on Facebook, she will fire back at you; some of us knows her very well.
“But this one is unnecessary cos it’s too early for anyone to see her on Facebook for now. That was why she was advised to remove her comment from the post,” the source told Starnews NG in a telephone interview.
