Why They Wanted Me Out Of Office — Suspended Ondo PDP Chairman

Fatai Adams, the suspended Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State said on Tuesday that the State Working Committee of the party wanted him out of office because of the forthcoming bye-election in Akoko North-East/Akoko North-West Federal Constituency in the state.

Starnews NG reported that the Indpendent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had announced plan to conduct bye-eletion on February, 2023, for all the vacant national assemble seats.

In preparation for the election, the PDP last week announced Olalekan Bada as their consensus candidate for the bye-election and urged party leaders in Akoko North East/Akoko North West Federal Constituency to rally support for the party candidate to emerge victorious in the bye-election.

Reacting to his suspension, Starnews NG reports that Fatai said some elements in the party were witch-hunting him because of the forthcoming bye-election in Akoko North-East/Akoko North-West Federal Constituency of the state, while insisting he remained the chairman of the PDP in Ondo State.

“This will not stand, we know what they are trying to do. Their plan is to remove me so that they can execute their evil agenda for the Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency bye-election and we will not fall for that,” he said.
