The National Union Of Okitipupa Local Government Students (NUOLGS) has sent an urgent appeal to Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa concerning alleged financial mismanagement at Okitipupa Oil Palm PLC.
In the letter signed by NUOLGS President, Comrade Akinmorin Olubusayo, the union raised concerns over purported fraudulent withdrawals and financial irregularities allegedly initiated by Mr. Adewole Taiwo, the current Managing Director of the company.
The withdrawals, allegedly made from the company’s accounts held with First Bank PLC (2022820206 and 2018659065), have sparked suspicion and a call for immediate intervention.
In their appeal, the students advocated the temporary freezing of Okitipupa Oil Palm PLC’s accounts across all banks.
They also proposed the formation of an unbiased panel to investigate Mr. Adewole Taiwo’s activities during his tenure and examine the alleged financial improprieties.
The student body commended Governor Aiyedatiwa’s dedication to the state’s advancement and pledged support in ensuring a comprehensive and impartial investigation.
Emphasizing their commitment to transparency and societal development, NUOLGS urged for swift action to address the grave allegations concerning the management of Okitipupa Oil Palm PLC.
NUOLGS reiterated its resolve to collaborate with the government in pursuit of a brighter future for Ondo State, aligned with the collective aspirations of its citizens.
