Throwback video capturing Akeredolu prophesying emergence of Aiyedatiwa goes viral

A throwback video capturing the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu prophesying the rise of his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, as the new governor of Ondo State has resurfaced and went viral on the internet.

Starnews NG reports that this prophetic statement made during Akeredolu’s second term inauguration in 2020 saw him praising Aiyedatiwa’s loyalty and consistency, hinting at stepping down to allow him (Aiyedatiwa) to ascend.

Following Governor Akeredolu’s demise at the age of 67 at the wee hours of Wednesday due to prostate cancer, Lucky Aiyedatiwa was swiftly sworn in as the new governor of the state.

This aligns with the late governor’s prediction in the video following the inauguration of Aiyedatiawa, his deputy, as the new executive governor of Ondo State.

In a video obtained and reviewed by Starnews NG, late governor Akeredolu said in his words, “They mean you will be lucky; now you’re lucky. You have been loyal and consistent. I have maximum four years, maybe you can proceed from there. It is for me to come down and for him to grow. I’ve done my own little bit. I’ll congratulate you and congratulate your wife.”
