Lagos Govt Issues Strong Warning to Tanker Drivers

In a bid to curb indiscriminate Parking on major highways in Lagos State, the State Government has issued a strong warning to Tanker and trailers drivers to desist from indiscriminate parking along the Cele bus stop inward Tin Can Port axis.

A statement issued on Wednesday by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Sola Giwa, said the move followed the need to address the ongoing congestion on the roads in the areas.

According to the statement, the directive underscored the commitment of the state government to ensuring the smooth flow of traffic and minimising disruptions caused by the persistent presence of these heavy-duty vehicles in the specified location.

He mentioned that the order aims to enhance the overall mobility experience for residents and commuters in the affected area.

Giwa highlighted the importance of a clear and unobstructed road network, imploring tanker and trailer drivers to comply with this directive or be sanctioned in line with the Lagos State Transport Reform Law.
