A leading election observer group in the country, Yiaga Africa has raised the alarm of reports of Pre-Filled election results across some polling units in the ongoing governorship election in Kogi state.
The group in a statement on its verified X platform on Saturday called the attention of the Independent National Electoral Commission to quickly address the situation to protect the interest of the election.
” Dear @inecnigeria we received report of pre-filled results sheet discovered in PU 004, Eni Ward of Ogori/magongo in Kogi state before commencement of voting. Kindly investigate and address this issue promptly to safeguard the integrity of the process.
” Another case of pre-filled results sheet in PU 020, Eika/Ohizenyi, Okehi LGA of Kogi state.”
This is coming barely an hour into the commencement of voting process which began around 8:30am
