Former Niger Delta militant leader Asari Dokubo has lamented over President Bola Tinubu’s recent appointments.
Asari said this while reacting to controversial Islamic cleric Sheikh Gumi’s call for Nyesom Wike to be removed as the minister in charge of the Federal Capital Territory.
Speaking in a video which has gone viral, the former Niger Delta warlord stated that Abuja was built with oil money from non-northern regions. He also said that it was built on the premise that it would be “no man’s land”.
He went on to lament about appointments made by President Tinubu, claiming that it is one-sided and makes Lagos look like the only state in the country.
Asari claimed that he campaigned for Tinubu because of his past achievements and that his recent appointment is setting a dangerous precedent.
An angry-looking Dokubo said: “Muslim-Muslim ticket was voted for by Nigerian people; they know who Ahmed Bola Tinubu is. A lot of us know. I did not vote Ahmed Bola Tinubu because he is a Muslim.
“The appointment that is going on is one-sided. The president must know that the part he is following, the appointment he is making, as if Nigeria is Lagos, is dangerous.
