Economic Hardship : Popular Singer Raises Alarm For Spending N3 million Monthly on Diesel

Popular Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy of the Psquare, has cried out about how much he spends in a month to purchase automotive gas oil, also known as diesel.
According to the singer, in a month, he spends nothing less than N3 million on diesel expenses.

Rudeboy, who decried the surge in the petroleum product, imagined what ordinary Nigerians were facing due to economic hardship in the country.

The singer, who described the economic situation in the country as “total madness”, narrated how he bought his first car for N120,000 some years back and berated how he has to spend N3 million on diesel alone in recent times.

The artist who took to his Instagram story to pour his heart wrote, “I bought my first car 120k naira years back, and I was very proud of that… Now I spend 3m naira on diesel for just a month… Total madness. Only God knows what a common man is going through.”

It would be recalled that the price of automotive gas oil, also known as diesel surged in September.

Checks by this platform showed that the price of diesel per litre currently ranges between N1,000 and N1,100, depending on the location.
