Tears, Controversies as Morbad Laid To Rest in Ikorodu

The untimely demise of the Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, came as a surprise.

The young entertainer, who was also a father, tragically passed away recently, leaving his wife, Wunmi, who is 24 years old, a widow.

According to the Daily Trust, the 27-year-old crooner, who met his unfortunate death on Tuesday, September 12, has been buried in Ikorodu amid swirling controversies surrounding the cause of his death.

However, prior to his burial, certain individuals vehemently opposed the idea of him being laid to rest.

In Yoruba, they shouted, “Never, Imole must not rest here. We thought he would find his final resting place in a mansion. They cannot excavate a grave for our Mohbad in this location.”

The grieving widow of the late singer turned to social media to express her sorrow. She said that despite the skyrocketing fame of her late husband, he struggled relentlessly until his death.

Furthermore, she revealed that he never experienced a day of true happiness and constantly wished for her and their five-month-old child to depart from Nigeria.

He had released captivating hit tracks such as Imole, Pariwo, and Ask About Me. Moreover, a lot of his songs ascended to the top of the music charts, particularly on the Apple Music platform.
