Man arrested for Vandalising Third Mainland Bridge Rails

 

 

The Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 21-year-old man, Ibrahim Ashafa, caught vandalising the Third Mainland Bridge rails at around 4.30 pm on Monday.

This was revealed in a statement on Tuesday shared on the agency’s X app (formerly Twitter) page.

Items recovered from him while perpetrating the act included a wheel spanner, screwdriver, rope, and plier.

The statement read, “About 4:30 a.m yesterday, Rapid Response Squad operatives on patrol of Third Mainland Bridge caught Ibrahim Ashafa, 21, removing metal drain ducts from the Third Mainland Bridge.

“Recovered from him were four metal drain ducts, spanners, plier, rope, screwdriver, and a wheel spanner.

“Commander, RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi while urging the operatives to intensify efforts in bringing to book vandals of the state’s infrastructure directed that the suspect be charged to court.”
