BREAKING NEWS: Ogun State Government Website Hacked

The Ogun state government website and other important websites in the state, (OgunState.gov.ng), have been compromised.

The hackers who identified themselves as Aliester Crowley and went by the alias “Anon Ghost” claimed to be situated in the Maldives.

The attack was carried out in the early hours of today, Wednesday.

The website prominently states, “We are Anon Ghost,” beside what appears to be the hackers’ symbol.

“We are legendary; forgive us not; forget us not; and prepare for us.

“By Aliester Crowley, the hacker. Make security updates! From the Maldives, greetings.

I’m on YouTube, you can find and find me there” the hackers continued.

The cyber attackers also vandalized every page of the website.

The Ogun state government has previously been the target of hacker attacks. Cyber terrorists took control of the website in 2015 and requested that the state government increase its security, which is similar to the most recent incident that has just happened in Ogun State.

Hackers have also targeted the websites of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Niger Delta Development Commission, National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA), Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, all in Ogun State.
