May Edochie Finally Breaks Silence On Son’s Death

May Yul Edochie, the former wife of actor Yul Edochie, has finally broken her silence after the tragic loss of her son Kambiichukwu three months ago. The 16-year-old, who was the eldest child of May and Yul Edochie, passed away suddenly while playing football at school.

May, who had kept quiet about her son’s heartbreaking death, has now decided to speak out. Taking to her Instagram page on Saturday, she shared a photograph of herself with all her children and expressed her grief for her late son.

In her heartfelt message, May wrote: “No words can adequately convey our gratitude to all of you. Throughout this difficult time, we believe that our immeasurable loss is a gain in heaven.
When you lose a spouse, you become a widow…
When you lose a partner, you become a widower…
When you lose a father, you become fatherless…
When you lose a mother, you become motherless…
When you lose both parents, you become an orphan…
When you lose a sibling, you become a ‘forgotten mourner’…
Apart from ‘vilomah’, a word that signifies going against the natural order, I cannot find an English term that captures the anguish of losing a child. There is no death as profound and agonizing as the loss of one’s own child. We are still overwhelmed with grief, but we want you all to know that we are finding solace through God’s special grace.

“The uncertainty of tomorrow remains a mystery, and some experiences are unforgettable, but we must find a way to live with them, no matter how painful and challenging they may be. The incredible love and support we have received from our family, friends, and well-wishers from all around the world have been unimaginable and unwavering. During these recent times, we have faced the most devastating and traumatic circumstances of our lives, but your prayers have sustained us.

“My friends and family have been an incredible pillar, supporting me through this process in the most amazing ways. The brands I represent have shown kindness and patience. Life has left me feeling resigned to fate, with a sense of emptiness and overwhelming emotions, but you, my incredible fans, have stood by me even in my absence. This love is a testament to ‘God’s grace’ and can only be described as both the wonder and awe of serendipity.

“We truly appreciate your support and cannot thank you enough. We sincerely hope that all of this will enable us to cope with this tragic loss and dispel our fears. We can only offer God’s blessings in return and pray that affliction never enters your homes, in Jesus’ name. ????❤️. It is impossible to forget a child, so my sweet angel Kambilnachukwu will always hold a special place as the second of my four beloved children. May you continue to rest peacefully in the embrace of the Almighty until we meet again. ????????.”

May and Yul Edochie share three children together. Last year, the couple made headlines when Yul announced that he had entered into a polygamous marriage, introducing his new wife, Judy Austin, to the public. They welcomed a son named Star Duke Munachimso Yul Edochie in 2022.
