Breaking! Osun Assembly Reveals Commissioner Nominees List

The State House of Assembly has officially released the names of the 25 nominees for the executive cabinet in Osun. This announcement was made during the plenary session on Friday, July 7, 2023, by the Speaker of the House, Adewale Egbedun.

The list, which was submitted by Governor Ademola Adeleke, includes various individuals such as Bar.Oladosu Babatunde, Bayo Ogungbamgbe, Sesan Ephraim Oyedele, Bar. Kolap Alimi, Soji Ajeigbe, Moshood Olalekan Olagunju, George Alabi, Sunday Olufemi Oroniyi, Abiodun Bankole Ojo, Dr Bashir Tokunbo Salami, Moruf Ayofe, Sola Ogungbile, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, and Ayo Awolowo.

Additionally, the nominees comprise Barr. Woke Bada, Dipo Eluwole, Rasheed Aderibigbe, Prof. Moruf Ademola Adeleke, Adeyemo Festus Ademola, Olaniyi Anthony Odunlade, Bar. Jola Akintola, Mayowa Adejorin, Adenike Folasade Adeleke, Tola Faseru, and Gani Ayobami Olaoluwa.

Egbedun has instructed the nominees to submit 35 copies of their credentials to the screening committee before Tuesday, July 11, 2023. The screening process is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at 10 am. Furthermore, the nominees are required to disclose their assets to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) and provide evidence of the same during the screening.

Heading the House of Assembly screening committee for the nominees is Akinyode Oyewusi, with other members including Kofoworola Adewumi from Ede North State Constituency, Kanmi Ajibola from Oriade State Constituency, Elisha Akinyemi Oderinwale from Ayedire State Constituency, Olaide Ajibola from Olorunda State Constituency, Sanmi Areoye from Atakunmosa East/West State Constituency, and Sikiru Bajepade from Ila State Constituency.
