Tinubu In Private Meeting With Ex Senate President, PDP Spokesman

By Doris Israel Ijeoma

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently engaged in a private meeting with former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim and former spokesperson of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh.

Olisa Metuh, who previously held the role of spokesperson for the opposition party during the PDP’s 16-year reign until 2015, arrived at the meeting accompanied by former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim.

It is important to note that both individuals had strongly criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) leading up to the 2015 elections.

The meeting, which reportedly commenced at 2pm, is taking place at the presidential villa.

Anyim, who formerly served as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), had worked for the APC during the recent general election in Ebonyi State.

On the other hand, Olisa Metuh gained attention in October 2022 when he publicly announced his resignation from the PDP and his departure from active involvement in political parties.

It should be recalled that he expressed his decision to sever ties with the party in a letter addressed to the National Chairman of the PDP, dated October 25th, 2022, citing this choice was made during his recent medical trip abroad.

The specific purpose or details of this meeting between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Anyim Pius Anyim, and Olisa Metuh have not been disclosed.
